The Upstate Wound Healing Center specializes in the treatment of chronic wounds and non-responsive conditions and offers hospital-based outpatient wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
Since problem wounds are associated with underlying medical conditions, our program is specifically designed to integrate wound care with ongoing health care. Wound treatment plans are coordinated with the patient's primary care physicians to ensure that each patient's individual needs are met. In addition to tissue oxygenation, the Wound Healing Center also uses vascular studies, tissue culturing and pathology, revascularization, skin gratfing, and clinical or surgical debridement.
There were over 3,400 patient visits last year alone. For more information, please call (864) 833-3557.
Every wound has a unique set of circumstances. Our National Healing Wound Center is equipped and staffed to address them all, with most treatments covered by Medicare/Medicaid, HMOs and other private insurance plans. We are experts at caring for people whose open sores have resisted traditional treatment, with a success rate of 80 percent healed in 12 to 16 weeks.
The Wound Healing Center is located at 1073 Medical Ridge Parkway and is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information, or to schedule an appointment, please call (864) 833-3557, or fax: (864) 833-7724.
