Located in the new outpatient facility at the Laurens County Health Care System, the Heart Care Program provides inpatient and outpatient care for patients with cardiac or pulmonary diagnoses and high risk factors. Patients are referred into the program by a physician.
Heart Care is divided into the cardiac and pulmonary rehab programs. Phase I of cardiac rehab is designed for inpatients, providing education about heart disease and the patient's response to activity. Phase II is outpatient recovery in the outpatient facility at the hospital and Phase III is the prevention series.
