Financial Arrangements

Arrangements for payment of your hospital bill will be made at the time of your admission. A patient account representative has been assigned to assist and answer any questions about insurance claims or financial arrangements.

If covered by insurance

The Laurens County Hospital will bill your insurance company as a courtesy. Remember, this contract is between the insured and the insurance company. In some cases, medical insurance plans do not provide full coverage for the hospital bill.

The Laurens County Hospital will send you a statement after your stay to let you know the balance your insurance has paid and the balance you owe.

If covered by state/federal programs

It is necessary to make satisfactory arrangements for payment of hospital costs at the time of your admission. This includes bringing proof of insurance eligibility or membership cards for Medicare, Medicaid, or any other federal, state or local assistance program.

If you do not have insurance or if the coverage is insufficient for your bill, a deposit may be required upon admission.

If you anticipate difficulty paying your bill, one of our patient account representatives may be able to assist you with alternate financing arrangements or an application for public assistance.

Please feel free to call our business office staff if you have any unanswered questions about your hospital bill. They can be contacted by calling (864) 833-9181.
