Visitors and Visiting Hours

Friends and loved ones are important to recovery. However, for your own rest and comfort, and that of our other patients, it is necessary to adhere to visiting hours. Please ask your visitors to respect these regulations:

  • Don't visit a patient if you are ill yourself
  • Smoking is not permitted on hospital property
  • Children under the age of 12 should not visit and should not be left unattended by an adult any place in the hospital
  • Please keep the volume of conversation such that it cannot be heard outside your room
  • The hospital reserves the right to ask a visitor to leave if it is in the best interest of any patient
  • Visitors may be asked to leave a patient's room so that care and treatment can be rendered
  • Appropriate clothing, including shirt and shoes, must be worn
  • Beverages, food and medications should be brought in only after consulting with the patient's nurse
  • Each pediatric patient through age 14 (or as designated by the responsible nurse) should have a parent (or designated caregiver) with him/her at all times
  • Visitors waiting to visit a patient should wait in the first floor front lobby area
  • Patients whose recovery is assisted by a visitor outside visiting hours may have such visitation approved by the registered nurse
